I love old plates and they offer a great way to decorate a wall. I chose some random plates I had stored away and bought some plate hangers off Ebay. I didn’t go by a pattern, I didn’t measure I just hung them in a way that I thought looked pleasing to the eye…my eye!! So lets get started…
I bought 10 plate hangers in various sizes.
I chose plates of different sizes and colors.
I started off with the large blue floral plate as the center.
It just wasn’t working for me so I replaced it with a large platter.
Still not happy with the arrangement.
That’s much better. The total cost for this arrangement was around $ 25.00… I had more $$ in the hangers than the plates. I also applied a vinyl bird on the platter. The plate to the far right looks “dirty”, it isn’t. It’s just a little chippy. Which I love!

Plate Hangers
This is a great idea. You might also try some of the adhesive hangers like the ones found here http://www.allplatehangers.com. Depending on the size of the plate, these might be less expensive, and the hardware won’t show.
