I love old, ugly chairs that no one else wants. Why, because they’re usually priced dirt-cheap!!! And that’s where I come in. I’m like a junkin’ ninja, waiting, lurking and ready to grab a great deal when I see one. Ok, that was a little over dramatized but you get where I’m going. I’m CHEAP!!!
And when I saw these beauties I knew I could make them look better. And all it took was a little spray paint, primer and an old shower curtain.
I started off by cleaning the chairs with a damp cloth and letting them dry. Once dry I primed them with BIN primer since I was too lazy to sand them. I waited until the next day to apply the spray paint.
I used 4 cans of Krylon Gloss Classic Gray to make these beauties POP! The color is amazing.
After the paint dried I took sandpaper and distressed the edges and areas that would give it a worn look.
And since I’m cheap I didn’t want to spend any money on expensive fabric. So , I went looking through my bag of tricks and found an old, but very new looking shower curtain to use as my fabric.
I used my staple gun to ensure a snug fit and no wrinkles.
And Voila! The finished product looked great.
They look way more expensive than the $5.00 I purchased them for.
So go out and find some ugly chairs today and make them your own!
