On my quest to find some of the best places to go “Junkin” I visited the Thomasville Emporium Antique Mall in Thomasville, NC.
Here’s some info about about them from the Visit NC website.
Large antique emporium with mall concept and best prices in NC, over 50 dealers with unique antiques & collectibles. Victorian, primitives, shabby chic, 50’s, clocks, Coca-Cola and even handmade items by local craftsmen are available in our mall.
Large 100-seat café inside antique mall serving lunch Monday-Friday 11-3pm with homemade sourdough bread, desserts, salads & soups; Plate lunches Tuesdays & Thursdays. Enjoy walking back through time shopping each dealer’s space & then enjoying lunch just like Grandma made. Tour buses welcome with reservation.
This collection of clocks were fabulous.
I had a Big Ben clock growing up and you talk about a clock that will wake you up…well, these did the trick!
My parents had luggage just like these except in yellow and I can remember playing with them all the time.
More antiques??? Don’t mind if I do….
You go through a tunnel in the building that leads you to even more goodies.
I would highly recommend visiting the Thomasville Emporium Antique Mall in Thomasville, NC. If you visit during the week the Side Street Cafe is open and located inside the same building serving homemade soup, salad and sandwiches. I was visiting on a Saturday so unfortunately the cafe wasn’t open.
This was a great experience and everyone there was super nice. I will definitely have to visit again during the week so I can try something from the Side Street Cafe.
