In “Part 1” of repurposing chair parts I turned the back of one of the chairs into a beautiful corkboard. Now in “Part 2” I turned a couple of the chair backs into coat racks. I was able to salvage a lot of pieces from the chairs my son disassembled and have repurposed most of the parts already.
After a little sanding, some milk paint, hooks and a clothes hanger I came up with the following coat racks. I love how simple, beautiful and functional these are.
I absolutely love the way they turned out. I painted the coat racks with Old-Fashioned Milk Paint in Tavern Green but left parts of them unpainted to show off the beautiful wood.
The yellow hooks make a great contrast to the green and gives it a great POP of color!
I will be selling these at Southern Charm at the Farm happening this weekend in Walnut Cove, NC. Hopefully someone finds them as beautiful and unique as I do.
