I love hanging my Christmas wreaths this time of year but am so tired of the dark green wreaths with the big red bows so instead of throwing them away and buying new ones I decided to take a risk and spray paint them. I knew I wanted a lighter more sophisticated look almost the look of a blue spruce so I used what I had on hand and sprayed them in several layers with white spray paint. I also had 2 small artificial trees that I painted as well. I used 3 partial cans of white paint in gloss and satin on this project. You can custom color your Christmas wreaths in any color so the possibilities are endless.
I took everything outside and sprayed in several layers until I achieved the desired look.
You can see the difference below between the original color and the “after” color.
I love how the small trees turned out as well. The spray paint gave them a light and airy look. You could spray paint the artificial wreaths and trees in any color..pink would be so cute for a young girl or babies room.
Have you ever spray painted your wreaths or other holiday decor to give it a new look?
