I have certain tools I use all the time when I’m working on projects. No matter whether I’m ripping apart a pallet, cutting designs and patterns out of wood or making sure I get perfect straight lines these tools I use just about everyday.
Irwin Quick Grip clamps are great tools and they come in all shapes and sizes. To get a tight grip on my pallets while I’m ripping them apart these work clamps work great. I also use them when I’m gluing pieces together to ensure a tight seal.
To rip apart my pallets the Ryobi sawzall cuts through the nails like butter. I use a cordless one because I can’t stand to mess with cords and I always worry about tripping over them.
To cut shapes out of wood I use the Ryobi jigsaw. It has a speed control on it that I am crazy about and is very lightweight to use.
In my opinion, the Swanson Speed Square is a tool box must have. I use it to ensure precise cut lines and as a straightedge guide for my circular saw. The bright orange color helps me to locate it quickly without blending in with the other “junk” I have sitting around my work area.
And last but not least are my Mechanix Gloves that I use every time I am working on projects. They protect my hands from splinters, nicks and callouses. They are thick enough to protect my hands but thin enough to allow me to get a good grasp on whatever I’m working on.
These are just a few of my favorite “everyday tools ” that I use and trust. What are some of yours?
