Let me share some ways to design a life that you’ll want to read about later in life.
- Learn to take risks
“If you think trying is risky, wait till they hand you the bill for not trying.” – Jim Rohn
Of course we shouldn’t rush into making a decision, but at times we can be too cautious. Jim Rohn, widely recognized as a personal development legend, called this living the “Timid Life.” We get so caught up in the “What-ifs” of life that it keeps us from trying new things. I have been guilty of this in my life a time or two and the main catalyst that has helped me learn to take more risks is knowing that one day I’ll be dead. Jim Rohn put it best when he said, “I’ll tell you how risky life is. You’re not going to get out alive.” Amen to that!
“He who watches the wind will not sow and he who looks at the clouds will not reap.”- Ecclesiastes 11:4
- Stop Complaining
The Greek word translated “complainer” means literally “one who is discontented with his lot in life.”
- Set Goals
“The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty.” Proverbs 21:5
Remember, this is YOUR life! Create the life you want to live, we only get one so make it a great one.
