Who doesn’t love a great place or two or three to find some rusty gold? I am blessed to live near some wonderful shops that offer one-of-a-kind, rustic, repurposed and vintage goodies all within 10 miles of my home in the Thomasville/ Trinity, NC area. While a few of these are only open once or twice a month, they are none-the-less worth marking on your calendar to visit if you’re ever in my neck-of-the-woods.
On our first stop, we’re going to check out the Chartreuse Barn Sale located in Thomasville, NC.
These folks aren’t open everyday so make sure you mark your calendars so you don’t miss out on their monthly barn sale held the first weekend every month. Here you’ll find a ton of creative and beautiful pieces to decorate your home nestled perfectly into this gorgeous barn.
Now we’ll head downtown to checkout Thomasville Emporium.
This large antique emporium has over 50 dealers with unique antiques & collectibles. Located inside the emporium is a large 100-seat café serving lunch Monday-Friday. Put on your walking shoes for this one- you’re going to need it!
While we’re in downtown Thomasville, we can check out a couple more places that are to die for when it comes to unique finds. Our first stop will be at Salem Vintage R & R. This wonderful shop has a rustic and vintage-y feel to it that you will fall in love with the minute you walk through the doors. It also has an upstairs loft filled with rusty goodies. This is one shop that makes you want to linger a while and even contemplate moving in.
A few doors down from Salem Vintage R & R is Refined and Co. This sweet and charming shop has character and warmth that will draw you in and keep you shopping for a while. It has some awesome rustic finds mixed with some mid-century modern elements that never go out of style.
A few minutes from downtown Thomasville you’ll find Fancy Finds. Fancy Finds is an upscale resale shop open the first and third Friday and Saturday of each month. This place has a great variety of furniture, home décor and vintage items where 100% of the proceeds generated from Fancy Finds’ variety of services goes to enrich the lives of children, aging adults and families served through Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina. Now there’s a great reason to shop!
And last but definitely not least, our Vintage Sale Trail ends at Spade and Broom in Trinity, NC located less than 10 miles from downtown Thomasville. Spade and Broom is a family owned business operating out of the owner’s private residence, the beautiful and historic George B. Craven house in Trinity, NC. The formal living room, exceptional downstairs sunroom and elegant dining room are devoted to the display of their unique products designed for the garden and home. This place is beautiful and when you step inside you instantly feel like you’ve stepped into an English Farmhouse. The owners have a great eye for detail and it shows throughout their home.
Now if that doesn’t get you excited to shop, I don’t know what will! If I were you I’d go ahead and plan my Junkin’ Day Out for the first weekend in November which is only a couple weeks away. So what are you waiting for!!?? Get to planning now!
