Looking to decorate your home with beautiful wreaths but gasp when you see the price of them? Me too, so I came up with 3 easy and beautiful wreaths that can be put together in a matter of minutes with items you probably already have on hand.
I am participating in the Christmas DIY/Decor Challenge hosted by Christina @ The DIY Mommy where I am sharing how I created Glam Christmas Wreaths on a budget.
Christmas wreaths- 3 ways
diy Christmas Wreaths
- wire hanger
- embroidery hoops
- embellishments such as snowflakes
Let’s start with our Farmhouse Glam wreath. You’ll want to open the embroidery hoop by loosening the screw and securing one end of your garland inside.
From here you will wrap your garland around the hoop until the hoop is covered. To secure the end of it you can either hot glue it or do what I did and tuck it under another piece and since most garland has wire in it you can wrapped it around and pinch it tightly around the hoop.
To create the Snowy Glam wreath you do repeat the same process as we did with the Farmhouse Glam wreath.
For our Sparkle Glam Wreath you will need to form your wire hanger into a circle.
Now you will want to use some wire cutters to cut the hanger on the side of the hanger that isn’t attached to the hook.
Now all you’ll have to do is string your ornaments with varying colors, shapes and sizes of ornaments.
To form a hoop to be able to hang your wreath you will want to bend the hook of the hanger into a circle.
Adding some type of greenery adds a great natural element to the wreath.
I added a beautiful gold snowflake to the Farmhouse Glam wreath and some gorgeous white and iridescent snowflakes to the Snowy Glam wreath but you could also add some small ornaments or pine cones to the wreaths.
