Hip, Hip Parade!!…

Don’t you love small town parades?  The local high school bands, brightly decorated floats and the pièce de résistance..No not Santa, my son Tré marching with the Air Force JROTC.  This is his first year in ROTC and so far he’s doing great!  His older brother Chase was in it all four years of high school and now Tré is following in his footsteps. Looking good baby!!!

Thanksgiving Eve…

Oh my gosh!!  Can you believe Thanksgiving is tomorrow?  I love Thanksgiving; it’s the cooking and prep work that I don’t particularly enjoy.  Well, let me take that back…I love the cooking but detest the clean-up.  Calgon, take me away!!!

After working all day, I am now busy making a Pumpkin Gooey à la Paula Deen, sweet potato casserole and a honey glazed ham!!  In the immortal words of Rachael Ray, “YUMMO”.

I have to work on Thanksgiving…cue the violins…but hopefully I will be able to scoot out early enough to go home and get my YUMMO dishes and head over to my mother-in-law’s house in time to fill my belly!! Then back home for a few hours of sleep before heading out with my cousin and sister-in-law to grab those Black Friday deals!!  Happy Thanksgiving Eve!!!

Where does the time go??…

Can you believe it’s almost Thanksgiving? Halloween was just a few weeks ago and there are only 37 days left until Christmas!!! I love Fall, it’s my favorite season but it seems like it comes and goes so quickly.  As soon as we start carving pumpkins and hanging cob webs it’s time to turn that pumpkin into a pie and stuff a turkey.  And then there’s Black Friday, oh Black Friday how do I love thee?…Let me count the ways… I love thee to the depth and breadth and height…ok girl snap out of it.  But if you knew me you’d know that I LOVE a great deal.
