Over the weekend my brother gave me some beautiful bell peppers. With the price of bell peppers it pays to freeze them when you get your hands on a good amount. My favorite way to store them is to flash freeze them. Not familiar with that method? Here’s a tutorial for you-

I love taking items that are ok…and turning them into unique one-of-a-kind pieces with paint. And my favorite paint color to use is “Ooops”. Never heard of that color? Well, that’s because it’s not a color. It’s paint a customer has requested to be mixed but once the lid is taken off…”Ooops, I didn’t want THAT color”. So, the store reduces the price to get it sold. And this project was done with “Ooops paint”. The color is “Shiloh Blue”, a kind of bluish-gray color.

Ok, Ok, does anyone remember the episode on Seinfeld where Kenny Bania, an obnoxious comedian, offers Jerry a brand new Armani suit for free. In exchange he asks for a meal. Jerry takes him out and Bania only orders soup. Jerry tells Elaine and she asks, “Did he crumble any crackers in it?” Jerry is silent and Elaine asks again, “Did he crumble, any crackers in it?” Jerry- “As a mater of fact, he did.” Elaine- “Oh, well. Crackers in a bowl. That — That could be a meal.”

I truly enjoy scrapbooking but I am soooo unorganized when it comes to my pictures. This makes it harder to completely enjoy scrapbooking. So, I vowed to become more organized so I can enjoy it once again without becoming frustrated. I went through a HUGE box of pictures and organized every last one of them. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money doing it so I looked to my stockpile of goodies to see what I already had. Well, I had quite a few Ziploc containers that I acquired dirt cheap during a “Super Doubles” trip to Harris Teeter in January.

My sisters-in-law and I are planning a Halloween Party. And what’s a Halloween Party without the decorations? And this Halloween Project is a real no brainer. All you need are some branches, spray paint and a container to put them in. And of course the best part is decorating the trees. I won’t be decorating mine until the day of our Halloween Party so for now mine are naked!!!

My sister-in-law, Stephanie, and I spent a great weekend in the mountains. It was 50 hours of fun!!! No kids, no husbands, just the two of us in the High Country of North Carolina. We started our weekend away with a delicious breakfast at The Boone Bagelry. It was absolutely wonderful! The staff was really nice and the bagels were delish. If you ever make it to Boone, NC you must stop there for a bagel.

I love re-doing my mantel for each season. So to kick off the fall season- and yes I know it’s not officially fall- I wanted something simple. So I went for a mainly white theme. This way I can add some colorful fall leaves, pumpkins, etc.
